Summary: The king bed is comfortable. And it’s in a safe neighborhood and very close to things. I hate to give a bad review and in all the years I have of staying in places like this I only have one other time. But it was impossible to sleep. The owners above us were up late and got up early and it felt like a stampede up there the whole time. It was loud and even with ear plugs we couldn’t sleep. The kitchen also is lacking a ton of things. It only has a ladle. We had to go buy a spatula at the store. There is no whisk, no tongs, no big spoons, nothing to cook with. There was no cookie sheets and I needed some so I did ask the owner if they had some and they supplied them right away which was nice. But there are no mixing bowls. Only 3 plastic bowls. The pans are small and rusted and in bad condition. The kitchen needs to be stocked better so it’s actually useable. There’s no dishwasher so you have to wash everything by hand. Which would have been fine but we were supplied with only one dish towel. There needs to be a lot more thought into what is needed to stay in a space for several days. And if you’re going to rent out your basement you have to be quieter upstairs when they are there. And not invite a bunch of people over and stay up until midnight.
