Fully furnished grand, historic home with soaring 12 foot ceilings and original plasterwork moldings, ornate carved fireplaces, hard wood floors, paneled entry, gas lantern… this is Capitol Hill living at its finest! In its heyday, it was a sought after space for small concerts owing to its famously good acoustics. This beautiful home is located on a wide, tree lined street designed as a parade route to the Capitol and boasting some of the largest homes on the Hill. Restaurants, grocery stores, shops, and more are all within walking distance.
Two floors contain a formal living area, dining room, kitchen and family/TV room. Up the curving staircase, the 3 bedrooms are spread out from one another as much as possible, with 2 full bathrooms and a laundry room between. The two large bedrooms feature king/California king beds, and a third cozy bedroom has two twin beds. The full bathrooms both have glass enclosed marble tile showers. The kitchen includes contemporary, state-of-the-art appliances completely hidden behind cabinetry, two dishwashers, a huge island that seats 5-6, plus the formal dining room that seats 8.
