Summary: Great location for a short stay, especially if you commute daily to the NIH campus by Metro. Within a two-mile walking radius of the Residence Inn, you’ll find local and chain restaurants, shopping, and several grocery stores, including three Trader Joe’s locations. We stayed in a cozy one-bedroom suite with a living area and kitchen. The bed was comfortable, and the excellent blackout curtains made it possible to sleep well into the morning. The lobby also offers a convenient business workspace with a couple of computers and a printer. The hotel serves a wonderful hot breakfast buffet, and the breakfast staff were very friendly. The waffle maker seemed to be available only on weekends. We mostly ate out, including at the excellent nearby Andy’s Pizza. For Catholics who want to attend daily or weekend Mass, a Catholic church is within a 10-minute walk.
