Set in a prominent position in the Berwickshire countryside, only a mile and a half from the town of Duns. Our cottages have magnificent, uninterrupted panoramic views South to the Cheviot Hills and East to Berwick and beyond into Northumberland on the East Coast. Hardens Country Cottages are part of a pretty row of recently restored cottages with listed building status. They have been thoughtfully restored to retain original character but with the benefit of contemporary comforts. Both April and May cottages are suitable for a range of holidays due to the spacious layout and generous proportions of the rooms. This would make them ideal for families and group bookings. Of course they are also suitable for a cosy holiday for those who would like a relaxing break in front of a wood-burning stove. Good local shopping, pubs and restaurants are in the market town of Duns, 2 miles, and regular farmers markets in picturesque Kelso, 19 miles and Berwick 14 miles. Duns golf course is a 5-minute walk and there is good fishing nearby on Whittadder water or on the famous River Tweed. Shooting and stalking can be arranged.
